Lunar New Year 2022 Snacks and Food
Even though there were not as many Lunar New Year celebrations this year, I did get to a few. Some places had snacks you could by. Here's some of the ones I tried.
While per-screening Jade Mountain Brewery for their Lunar celebration I got to try not only some of the snacks they sale, but also their beer.

These were actually the best tasting of the snacks that I got there. |

Sesame flavored and just kind of boring. |

For these all of the flavor was on the shell. I have never understood why they put the flavor on the outside except for people that just suck on them to open them. |
Then for the actual celebration we took some of our friends with us to Jade Mountain Brewery and tried the following beers.

Round 1 |
Mei - bitter, and couldn't taste the plum. Orange Chicken - kind of tasted like orange juice that had expired. Sweet when it first hits the palate and then goes really sour. Hanzo- very vanilla forward, didn't get the green tea in it, but overall very smooth. Muramasa- I can't even describe it except I made a weird face. It reminds me of Dry Docks' Bradberrywine thing they have around the holidays. Not good. Nian-just sour. Sour overpowered any flavor it was supposed to have. Tiger Claw- a chili spice beer that wasn't overpowering.
Jade Mountain also had some venders selling different products. One was selling ube cupcakes while another had ube cookies. These two vendors are responsible for my current ube obsession. They just did it so well and since then I have been finding other really good ube products. None of those items lived long enough for me to get a picture.
Many of the breweries in Colorado will allow you to bring in your own food if they do not have food offerings of their own. For this event I also stopped by POM on Mississippi. Here I found a boba tea mochi to take to the event.

This one really did taste like a bode milk tea. These were very good and I would get them again. As you can see, most of the package was ate before I remembered I had to take a picture. |
Another really good mochi I found at POM was the brown sugar ones. Right now brown sugar boba drinks (tiger teas) are really popular.

These are really messy to eat due to the powder on the outside, but the taste is worth it. |
