Lychee/Litchi Flavored Drinks

This month I am choosing lychee to focus on since it is one of my favorite flavors. A lot of people may not be familiar with the flavor since the fruit comes from Asia and is not a common flavor used in America, but it is gaining in popularity as Asian culture continues to spread here. Sometimes on buffets in the fruit section you can find the lychee fruit. In a way it looks like an eyeball in that it is white and normally has a hole on one end where the seed was removed. If you have never tried a lychee, I would highly recommend it.

Drinks You Can Pick Up At The Store

Litchi Drink

This drink sys that it has lychee juice in it and it really does taste like it. It is like biting directly into a lychee. It is a very light drink and great for a summer day. I found this drink at Hmart in Aurora, CO. I had actually gone looking for grapefruit drinks to do this month, but I only found one grapefruit drink there where I found over 20 different lychee drinks. This shows how different cultures focus on different flavors. Sorry I went off topic a bit. This product was really good and I would get it again.

Lychee Milk Drink

This drink I did not like. The milk watered down the flavor too much, even more so then boba drinks do. I wouldn't buy this one again because it was just too bland. I found this drink at Hmart in Aurora, Colorado.

T.A.S. Brand Lychee Drink

This had a very smooth lychee flavor and tasted like lychee juice that was watered down just a little. I see this drink as a good one to introduce people to the lychee flavor because it is not overpowering like some lychee flavors can be. I found this drink at Hmart in Aurora, Colorado.

TAS Aloe Vera Juice Lychee

Aloe juice can be a weird texture to some. This drink also had little chunks of aloe in it which gave it a lumpy texture. Not bad in itself, but they ran into trouble with the flavor. Since they did not use lychee juice for flavor, what they did use gave it an overpowering flavor. It was the same as how cherry medicine does not taste like really cherries. The flavor was off in a very bad way. I would not recommend this drink. I found it at the Hmart in Aurora Colorado.

Calpico Lychee

This is one of those weird lychee drinks, but at the same time I have noticed that Calpico brand drinks are just weird tasting in general. The flavor was slightly sour and left a metallic taste afterwards. This was not very enjoyable and not a drink I would buy again. This was another drink that I got at Hmart in Aurora, Colorado.

Chin Chin Boisson Aux Lychee

This was a nice mellow lychee drink. I think it turned out so well because it got its lychee flavor from actual juice. I got this drink at the Hmart in Aurora, Colorado. This is a good drink when its hot due to it being refreshing. I would drink this one again.

Lychee

This drink was just gross. There was a hint of lychee and then just a bitter taste. It also left a really bad after taste. I would not recommend and tell people to avoid this drink altogether. Got this drink at Hmart.

Yeo's Lychee Drink

This was another mellow flavor lychee drink and is very similar to several of the above like the Chin Chin. If you were to cover the label I couldn't tell them apart because of how close in taste they are. I got this from Hmart in Aurora, Colorado. I would get this one again.

Chiao Kuo Lychee Drink

Also a really gross drink. It had a very metallic taste and left a bad after taste. The metallic taste overpowered any lychee flavor it my have had. Would not recommend. Got it at Hmart in Aurora.

Sanzo Lychee Sparkling Water

I am not sure why some of these drinks went so gross. This one had a very bitter taste and left a strong metallic after taste. I would not recommend this to anyone. Just avoid. An Hmart find.

V Fresh Lychee Drink

I had to do a double take on the ingredients label on this one. The reason, it tasted like a salt bomb. Even though the label said that there was no salt it it, there was no way you could get that salty of a drink without adding salt. I'm not sure if I just got one from a bad batch, but it was not a good experience. I had to drink water along with it to cut the salt. This is also an example of how you can not trust labels on products. I have found that a lot of products at international markets don't seem to have the same quality controls as us products. I got this from Hmart in Aurora.

Sangaria Ramune Lychee

It has a really nice mellow lychee flavor. There are no weird after tastes and is really smooth. This would be another really good drink to introduce someone to the lychee flavor. This drink also came from Hmart.
