Cranberry Treats

For this month's snack we will be looking at the classic Thanksgiving flavor of cranberry. Cranberries can be very tart and sour, but when cooked they can become sweet if sugar is added.

Cranberry Bliss Bar at Starbucks

If you read my posts you know that I am not a fan of Starbucks. I keep trying to give them a chance, but I just get disappointment each time. Then there is this bliss bar. This is the only product that Starbucks has come out with that I can say I truly like. I have been told by an ex-employee that the best way to eat them is frozen. I have not tried this method because they do not last that long once I buy them. I would recommend that this be one of the top cranberry things you try.

Fun Sweets Cranberry Cotton Candy

This is one of those weirder products that you can find out there. This was actually part of a 5 pack that I found at Walmart that was in their Halloween candy section even though the flavors were a mixture of Halloween and fall. The set of five was $5 so $1 a piece. For actual taste, I would say it had a generic berry like flavor but if you gave it to me as a blind taste test I would not be able to tell you the exact flavor. If I was looking for fun flavored cotton candies I would eat it again, but I would not expect a cranberry flavor.

Quaranta Soft Nougat (Cranberry and Peanuts)

A lot of stores will have small food sections that you can sometimes find really random products in. This nouget bar I actually found in a TJ Maxx. It was slightly hard and nougat has to be at fast or it can get too hard to eat really fast. It did have a good flavor and I found myself going back to grab more bites of it. This is one of those products that you by once to try it, but not more than that.

Natural Cravings Yogurt Covered Cranberries

Not bad. I think they were just off in the ratio of yogurt to cranberry. The coating was super think and the flavor of the yogurt overpowered the flavor of the cranberry. I wouldn't get these again because I'm not a fan of the yogurt they use, but other people may like them if they are more of a yogurt person.

Vintersaga Foam Candy Cranberry and Vanilla 

I found these at Ikea. Reading the back of the product I found that even though they are a Swedish product, they were actually made in Finland. Buying them we had expected something like a Gummy. The texture was actually different and they broke apart Butter then gummies. I wish that all gummies would have this texture because of how nice it was when compared to the stickiness of gummies. These were really good and I would get them again.
