Lavender Flavored Drinks
For spring I'm doing this post on lavender drinks. This will be a post I keep running and as I find new ones I'll add to it. Some people say that floral flavors can get "soapy" if too much is used, but I really enjoy them and so far have not been able to get to the "soapy" amount even with me dumping in the flavor.
Drinks You Can Pick Up At The Store
Lori's Original Lemonade: Lavender Lemonade
This drink had a really mellow lavender flavor that they could have kicked it up a notch to have more flavor. It wasn't sour or overly sweet. I found this drink at Whole Foods for around $3.Drinks At Restaurants
Bubblelicious Lavender Milk Tea
The first few sips of this was really lavender forward, but the more you drank the flavor got weaker. They needed to either add more lavender to it or stir it up much better. Even with this it was still good and I would order it again.
Native Foods Lavender Lemonade
While in Boulder we decided to try Native Foods since we had seen them in the past and wondered what they were. The food was not a good experience, but I would go back to just get this drink. It was a little on the sour side, could have used more sugar and an extra kick of lavender, but still good on a hot day.
Lavender Chi Latte
I'm actually starting to really become a fan of Nordstrom's eBar. They make really good drinks. I'm not a fan of chi, but this was the best chi I have ever tried. For a lavender drink it would get a F grade because there was no lavender taste to it even though I asked them to double the lavender in it (from 3 pumps to 6 pumps). As a chi only drink it was amazing. I highly recommend this drink, just not for the lavender.A little on the high end for prices when there are cheaper competitors near by. My lavender milk tea was good. Unlike other places that will use lavender syrup or dried lavender this place used a real lavender tea. You could tell this by the bitter flavor in it. It wasn't bitter in a bad way, just a way that let you know there were real tea products in it. Tried April 2023.
The lavender was a little weak, but the overall latte was good. Tried April 2023.
Lavender Chi (Raven's Roast, Estes Park)
I tried my mom's lavender chi latte, it was also a little weak on the lavender but it was one of the best chi drinks I have tried and I'm not a huge fan of chi. The normal bite of the chi was smoothed out. Of the lavender chis I have tried over the years I would say this was the third best one. Tried April 2023.
Lavender Slush (BeauTea)
My lavender drink had a super mellow flavor to the point I had to wonder if it even had lavender in it. When places make these drinks they need to remember that dairy/ice/water waters down the flavor. The other drink we got was missing about an inch of product. I would not recommend this place. Tried April 2023.
