Easter Candy 2024

Each year I try to get my hands on new holiday foods that I have not tried before. I normally do not waste my limited calories on old products unless they are amazing. Here are the Easter themed foods I tried this year.

Moyers Farm Chicky Caramel Apple

This product totally won for cuteness since that was what attracted us to it at King Soopers. For eating though that was a totally different thing. The yellow coating was really hard and hurt your teeth trying to eat it even once left out to warm up. Cute but not edible so an overall total fail.

Reese's Pieces Eggs

If you like normal Reese's Pieces then you will like these. I actually liked these better then the normal ones since they had a higher ratio of peanut filling to chocolate then the normal shape allows for. At the same time they weren't really that special or unusual. I would eat these again.

Peeps S'mores

Peeps kind of lend themselves to this combo in the first place. The Peep itself if marshmallow then you just dip part of it and you have the chocolate aspect. The hard part was the gram cracker. For this one they just did a lite dusting of something that they thought would give a hint of the gram cracker, but the flavor wasn't strong enough. They either had to make the dusting thicker or maybe actually have the peep resting on a gram cracker. I would call this one a fail for Peep flavors. Easy concept, but bad carry through.

Peeps Dr Pepper

These were a total win for Peep flavors this year. It really did taste like Dr Pepper and messed with my head a little because of how close the flavor really was. I would totally get these again and would recommend them to any one that likes Dr. Pepper.
