Recipe: Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff is a dish that I used to eat a lot as a kid, but haven't had it that often as an adult. When I decided to try and make it I looked up recipes online to get ideas. The problem is that a lot of the recipes called for cream of mushroom soup. I personally find cream of mushroom soup disgusting. I will do this recipe again later once I figure out a different way to do the sauce without the soup.

Ingredients:

meat balls (your choice of type)

2 cans of cream of mushroom soup (I made one of them a golden mushroom one to try and help with the taste)

egg noodles

sour cream

Worcestershire sauce

Seasoning
pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika

While the meatballs cook in the oven (follow instructions on bag) you can boil your egg noodles.

Once the noodles have cooked and been drained you will want to make the sauce directly in the pot with them. Add in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Then season to taste. If you also do not like the taste of cream of mushroom soup I would recommend using a lot of the Worcestershire sauce and paprika. These two items help to hide the mushroom taste. The Worcestershire sauce adds some salt, but you can do additional salt if you want. I try to cook without added salt due to health issues in my family.

Finally mix in the meatballs and you are ready to serve.

Enjoy

As always I don't get too specific with my recipes so that you can modify them to meet your personal needs like taste and health issues. This recipe is also not friendly for those that have issues with dairy, so you made need to substitute ingredients.
