Fall and Halloween Foods 2025
This was another year where many places made "pumpkin spice" items, but only did the spice side while forgetting about the pumpkin part. These are just some of the foods that you can find this fall season, and I'll keep updating it through Thanksgiving as I find and try more foods.
The Republic of Tea Pumpkin Spice
I got to try this tea at World Market as a free sample. It was gross. It left a really bad after taste that was matalic and wrapped around the back of your tongue. Even though it was called pumpkin spice, it was just a spice tea with no pumpkin flavor.
I had never been a fan of roasted corn until I tried the corn at this event last year. You get to add the toppings yourself and you can create the perfect bite for you. It is $5 a piece which seems like a good price since they include the topping station for free. I'm not a fan of buying plants at Nick's, they are over priced and die quicker the plants from cheaper stores, but I do enjoy their Fall Fest.
I had bought these hoping that there would be at least something a little pumpkin about them besides their shape, but no. They were ok, not overly sweet or rich, but boring. They should have either thrown in some pumpkin or pumpkin spice flavor to take advantage of the season. I wouldn't waste my calories on these again because they were just too boring. These were a Trader Joe's find.
Not a food item directly, but amusing. This cup came with a meal box that was actually big enough to feed 2 people or 1 person get get at least 2 meals out of it. The color change based on temperature is always amusing for me. Both the cup and the meal was worth the price.
It was ok. I wish it would have had a cool flavor. Like the purple icing could have been ube flavored. They lost out on what could have been a fun experience. It was ok, but now that I've tried it I wouldn't get it again because it was boring. Also as a side note, Dunkin had mystery boxes this year that were Halloween themed, but very few locations in the US got them because they didn't make enough of them. I tried most of the locations in the Denver Metro area and did not find a single store that got any.
Dunkin Pumpkin Donut Holes
Even though they were 'flavored' the flavor was weak and more on the spice side then pumpkin. They were also super dry. If they would have kicked the pumpkin flavor up more by adding more pumpkin paste it would have not only rounded out the flavor, but helped create a better product that would be more moist. This is another product that I wouldn't get again.Boar's Head Pumpkin Pie Dessert Hummus
This was a perfect bite. I ate it with pretzels and it was great. This had both the pumpkin and spice flavor. Some people may find it too sweet though if they are think that the hummus will make it more savory. I would totally get this again and can not recommend enough.
A total waste of time. They watered both the pumpkin and coffee flavor down with too much dairy. It just tasted like milk that had touched something weird. Not a good experience and I would tell you to avoide this one.
Little Debbie Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Creme Pies
These were ok, but week on pumpkin flavor, but did have a hint of spice. I know that places like to called spiced goods pumpkin spice when it really is just a spiced item. They needed more pumpkin flavor, because it felt like it was entirely missing. These did make an ok, quick breakfast, but I wouldn't buy them again because I just wanted more flavor. They reminded me too much of just the normal oatmeal creme pies.
Another disappointment. They were just a spiced cake and not pumpkin spice. They were also dry which once again using pumpkin could have helped with. I took these to a pot luck and no one really tried them. I had one and left the rest hoping someone else would take them.
The white top, vanilla creme, did nothing for the overall flavor. It just tasted like a normal peanut butter cup. They would have had to add a lot more vanilla flavor to make it even have a slight taste of vanilla. Tried it, but wouldn't get them again.
The package didn't say what flavor it was supposed to be, but I think it was orange flavored. It was a bit sour, but not overly so. Interesting texture with the soft center and crunchy outside. Not bad per say, but I wouldn't get them again. I found these at a gas station on sale after Halloween, and I can understand why they had trouble selling them.
Saw, but did not try.
Nut Pods Candy Corn Creamer
It looked interesting, but candy corn is just mostly vanilla flavored, so when I thought about this just being a vanilla creamer rebranded for Halloween it lost its appeal. Someone may find this subliminally amusing and get it, but not me.
