Store Bought Cakes

If you are craving something sweet, grocery stores have single servings of cakes you can get. This is nice because you don't have to buy a whole cake and it can help you with portion control. Here are a few of the cakes I have tried.

Walmart

Rainbow Cake

Even though the colors are fun, the flavor is just boring. It would have been nice if they would have made the flavor of the cake more complex then just vanilla. Even though the color will pull you in I do not recommend it. Tried December 2022.

Safeway

Unicorn Cake

This cake was $3.99 a slice at Safeway. I couldn't really put a specific flavor on it besides sugar. It may have been cotton candy flavored, but it is hard to tell. It was really good and held up well in the fridge that allowed me to enjoy it for several days. I would get this one again. Tried November 2022.

Was more fudge like and overly chocolaty. Tried August 2023.

King Soopers

It did not have a good cake to frosting ratio, and the frosting was boring. The cake was also super dry. In order for it to be slightly good you would have to soak it in strawberry milk for awhile. Tried June 2025.
