Food at CareerWise Colorado: Career-Connected Education - A Colorado Pathways Conference

 This was my food from day 1 (9/15/23) of the conference. 

When we all came back to the main room (the Turnhall) there was a salad at each place and a bowl of chicken on the table for everyone to split.

After some of us finished our salads the table was talking and we all came to the realization that this was the whole lunch and not just the starter. We were all still hungry. One of my peers refused to just eat "chicken feed" and went to the food court downstairs to get some real food. I should have followed him, but I didn't. A note to anyone hosting an event, do not have salad as the main course only. Included chips, fruit, or anything else because if you do only salads you leave your guests hungry and the tickets to this conference was not cheap.

During lunch or table also never got our water refilled so I took a picture of my sad water glass sitting there wanting to be filled.

At least there was a "happy hour" for those willing to stick around. I only stuck around so that I could get some food instead of trying to ride the light rail on an empty stomach which always gets me sick. The food at the happy hour was actually good, but they didn't order enough even for the few people that stuck around let alone to make up for basically no lunch.

Overall from my food experience from day 1 I would say that this conference was a failure in relation to food. For details on the actual conference check out the blog post on A Coloradan in Education.
