Grapefruit Flavored Drinks

Grapefruit is one of may favorite flavors and I even like the artificial flavor version. The problem is that it is very easy to mess up or make it sour when it doesn't need to be.

Drinks You Can Pick Up At The Store

Jarritos Grapefruit

This drink can be found at a lot of grocery stores or restaurants that specialize in Spanish or Latinx products. This one I actually got at a small Mexican restaurant in Denver. Unlike a lot of grapefruit drinks that can go sour, this one was very good and refreshing. The grapefruit was mellow, but not lost.

Organics Pink Grapefruit Flavored Organic Italian Soda

There was that normal bite that comes with real grapefruit. This comes from the product having actual grapefruit juice in it. This is a very tasty drink. I found this drink at Safeway.

Reggae Country Style Z Grapefruit 

This was for the most part very much like Sprite. At first there wasn't really a grapefruit taste, but then as I got near the bottom I started to notice a grapefruit aftertaste. It was nice and light and would be good on a hot summer day. I found this in the other international foods section at Great Wall (formally POM). Tried May 2023.

Sparkling Ice Pink Grapefruit

I like these Ice drinks because they have flavor without sugar. This flavor is more like a grapefruit then it tasting like actual grapefruit. It also doesn't have the artificial grapefruit taste either, but is a unique taste. I do get this from time to time, but's not my favorite Ice flavor. Found at Walmart. Tried May 2023.

Pink Ting Sparkling Grapefruit

Bottle Description: "Simply the best TING when it comes to stimulaTING your taste buds. ExciTING and invigoraTING, also known as a real Jamaican gem."

I found this drink at GreatWall (GW) right after they took over POM and it had been sitting in the bottom of my fridge for awhile. Yes I forgot about it. Trying it, it tasted just like grapefruit with carbonation in it. The only thing was that it was not as sour as normal grapefruit juice. It was actually good and I would get it again. Tried February 2024.

Booze Time

Chi-Chi's Ruby Red Margarita

Really powerful. I got a few different flavors of these for cheap at a King Soopers Marketplace. For those that don't know what a King's Marketplace is, it is like a Walmart in that they have expanded products like clothes. Anyway, for the price of these I was expecting it to be weak, but it had a real kick. The flavor was also very good. I felt like it was a great product for the price I paid.

Grapefruit Fruit Tea (Banned Boba)

Even though the grapefruit flavor was lost in the overall flavor of the drink it was still really good. Since I was still on vacation I did not reduce the sugar in this drink even though they did have it as an option. The only complaint I have about this drink is that they put ice in it when I asked them not to. I would be willing to try a low sugar version of this drink in the future.

Fresh Grapefruit Green Tea w/ Creamy Cheese Float (Latea)

This was really good. I was expecting it to be more bitter (or have the standard grapefruit bite), but it was really smooth. I also added the cheese float to it since I love the cheese floats here. They are the perfect blend of tangy and salty. One would think that it wouldn't go with the grapefruit, but it did. Tried April 2024.

Grapefruit Superpower (Comrade Brewing Co)

Not too bad, I've had some really bad beers here but this one is drinkable. It is a little sour like a real grapefruit and does leave a grapefruit aftertaste. It is a light beer that if they cut the sour back a little, it would be a pleasant summer beer.

Signature Select Grapefruit Juice

I understand that grapefruit is supposed to be a little sour, but this was super sour. I had to mix in a little salt to help cut the sourness. I know that sounds weird, but it works. I got this because I had been under the weather and wanted a vitamin C boost. I found this at Safeway and this is their store brand juice and I got it because it was the only one they had at the time. Tried August 2023.
