Pineapple Flavored Drinks

Pineapple is a tropical fruit that makes me think of summer and spending time at the beach. Pineapple is a very common flavor for drinks and they can be found in most places (even land locked states like Colorado). So instead of fighting with trying to cut a pineapple, you can just stop by your local store and pick up a flavored drink.

Jarritos Pineapple

This was a lite soda in flavor, but I wish the pineapple would have been dialed up a bit more. There were times when I was drinking it that I had to look at the bottle to remind me that it was pineapple because the flavor kept disappearing if I wasn't looking for it. It was ok, but to me the flavor wasn't clear enough and I wouldn't get it again if I had other flavor options of Jarritos. I found this plastic bottle (it normally comes in glass bottles) at the Hmart in Aurora and I tried it in February 2023.

Fruity King mini soda Pineapple

When I found this at Walmart the bottle was so cute and so little that I had to try it. It was only 50 cents and is the perfect size for portion control. I feel like these would be good for adults that need a hit of soda every now and then, but don't want the larger portions that most sodas come in. The taste was the same as most other pineapple sodas and it was very similar to Fanta in taste.

Guang's Pineapple Beer Drink

I found this in the grab and go section of Hmart. It also said it was nonalcoholic even though it was called a beer. It tasted like super watered down pineapple soda. I don't think I would get this one again because the flavor was so week. Tried May 2024. 

Welch's Sparkling Pineapple Soda

You can find this in most grocery stores and many gas stations. Average for a pineapple soda. To be truthful it tastes just like Fanta pineapple and if you took the labels off of them I couldn't tell the difference. Tried April 2024.

Mogu Mogu Pineapple

I found this drink at Hmart. It was chunky, which you can kind of see in the picture. It was good and you didn't question what you were drinking. I would get this one again. Tried June 2024.

Honey Bee Pineapple

It tasted like pineapple juice with nothing done to it and yes there was pulp that settled to the bottom of the can. I found this drink at GW (Great Wall). It was ok and not badly priced for what it was. I'm not sure if I would get it again since it just did not stand out. Tried June 2024.

Mtn Dew Infinite Swirl

This is a special flavor that you can only get at 7 Eleven. It tasted like lemonade with a touch of pineapple. It was ok and I would drink it again. Tried in June 2024.

Drinks At Restaurants

Pineapple Drink (Los Molino's)

The pineapple drink was more of an agua fresca. It was not sour and was really refreshing. The only negative was that some of the pulp in the bottom was really hard. Overall it was a good drink that I would get again.

Starbucks Spicy Pineapple Lemonade Refreshers 

This was the second drink in the series I tried and I just got a small one because of my previous experience. It was super spicy. It didn't burn your mouth, but was a massive heat in your throat. I'm used to eating Tajin on fruit, but drinking it is a different experience and it is not like the mangonadas. To have this be good, they would have needed to cut the spice in half. It was just too much powder of the liquid to handle. Tried April 2024.

Booze Time

Hakushika's Japanese Orchard Pineapple Japanese Sake

Description from the back of the bottle: "Tangy and zingy with a hint of tropical sun-drenched sweetness. Hakushika's Pineapple is made with premium junmai sake infused with the choicest natural flavor. With a vibrant and juicy character evocative of brightly hued fruit and warm island sunsets, this sake product is a perfect match for pork, seafood, and dessert inspired dishes. Serve chilled."

I found this at one of the larger liquor stores in the Denver Metro Area. It was super smooth, but the pineapple flavor was barely there. Also the flavor you got tasted more link the rind of the pineapple instead of the fruit part. Tried April 2024.

Modelo Chelada Pina Picante

This beer is supposed to be a mixture of pineapple and Chile pepper. I've had several beers that had different peppers in them and none have them been good. This beer was different though. The pepper was not overpowering and was not placed in the beer to just cause pain. The pineapple flavor was barely there. Overall, the beer had a nice balanced flavor. The problem with this beer was that it left a really strong salty taste in your mouth after each sip. If they could cut back on the salt this would be a good product. I might be willing to drink it again, but I would need water with it since the salty aftertaste makes you thirstier.
