2024 October Food News

First I wanted to just address a trend I have been seeing in a massive amount of food recalls. It feels like in the last few weeks that there have been a larger number of food recalls then ever before. The latest one was waffles. I'm not sure what is going on, but I recommend that people pay attention to the news since so many recalls are happening. There doesn't seem to be a pattern in the food items. I would say most seem to be processed foods, but there have even been exceptions to that.

10/2/24: "Denver influencer caught in scandal hasn't been disclosing videos are paid, branded content"- This is one of the many reasons you have to do your research on who you want to trust. Personally I noticed an issue when he gave places great reviews where I had a horrible experience. For example, The Clawww which I had a 0% win rate even though I am good at claw machines and have been playing since I was good, he made it seem like everyone walks away with prizes. I also found the staff to be rude and not caring about the customer experience. To me people like this messes with other influencer's credibility. This is why I do not do paid reviews at all. I go in blind without them knowing who I am and then I write about my real experiences. If I do videos, it is because I like a business and not because they have paid me to do so. I feel that this is the only way to be honest. I pay for the food I try and them not knowing who I am allows me to experience what the business is really like. All I can say is that you should think before you follow and look for those that do blind reviews since the business can not influence reviews. Also check both Google and Yelp to compare reviews. I have seen business get a lot of fake reviews on Google to up their score and they forget to do the same thing on Yelp. Also do not follow reviewers with less then 25 reviews. The smaller accounts with less reviews have a higher chance of being fake accounts created by people to support their business (and the businesses of friends) while hurting competitors. Ok... so I guess I did have a lot to say... https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/colorado-news/denver-influencer-scandal-disclosing-paid-content/73-c2d519ef-a68d-4d3a-a7ea-6c81fadc6ac5
