Halloween Foods 2024
Every time the seasons change companies roll out new products, foods, and flavors. The 2024 Halloween season is no different and below are some of the products we've tried this year. As new products are found we will keep adding them.
Halloween Foods
Williams Sonoma Mache Pumpkin
High end does not mean good. First off this ball was $19.95, but my mother really wanted to try some "high end" Halloween goodies. For the price there wasn't much in it. Then the quality of the product itself was not good. The pumpkin ball is just made out of paper and does not have lasting value as a Halloween decoration. The skeleton chocolates were about the same quality as what you can get at the dollar store. The cookies were super hard, like they needed to be soaked in some type of hot liquid to make them eatable. They were also bland. The best part of this was the jelly pumpkins. They were soft with a good flavor, but you get so few of them that they can't help to save the over all product. I would say just save your money and don't buy this.Ghostbusters Donuts from Krispy Kreme
I actually went to Krispy Kreme to get the special Autumn Super Moon Donut, but they were sold out by the time I got there. They just didn't make enough for people if they were sold out by noon. Since I was there anyway, I decided to try some of the Ghostbuster donuts. This one was actually made up of a whole bunch of little donut holes and fell apart as you were trying to eat it. The marshmallow picture was made out of what tasted like gum paste. So it was either gum paste or dried out fondant. Both you could do the image transfer on, but neither are a good eating experience.
I was super disappointed in the Slimer donut. I did not eat all of these donuts by myself, but was splitting them with someone. When I split this one, all of the green lemon ooze was in their half with my side completely empty. They really need to work on filling distribution. My half of the donut was bland, but the other half was good. The filling really does make a difference. This one also had the Slimer made out of gum paste.
I wish on this one that they would also have put some of the Oreo cream on the inside as well because there just wasn't enough of it.
Kool-Aid Ghoul-Aid
On the back of the package was this cute thing that you were supposed to turn into a mask, but I thought that it was just a cute little wall hanger on it's own. This was a weird drink because it made me thirsty drinking it. Classic Kool-Aid has always been made from a powder, but I never felt like I was drinking a dry powder until this drink. You could just feel it sucking the moisture from your mouth. Not a good experience.
This type of pouch makes me nostalgic and those of you of a similar age know why. I just wish it would have been filled with a better product.
Carmella Creeper
For a cereal that is supposed to be caramel apple flavored, it was supper bland to the point where it was basically flavorless. The marshmallows had way more flavor then the main cereal. Supper disappointing.
Wendy's killed it for Halloween fast food this year. The kids meals had great toys and so did the adult meal. The food was average in quality for Wendy's, but the tools were amazing.
The product was a lighter color then the display except in spots. I knew it was supposed to be purple, but I was expecting them to just use purple dye like other places. Then when I took a sip, I knew I recognized the flavor. I looked behind the counter and they had a huge bottle of ube flavoring. This was a big surprise to me since I'm not used to Asian flavors being used in mainstream food. I thought that this was totally cool and it made for a great drink. The base was cookies and cream and then with the ube it made for a great experience. I would highly recommend this and would actually put this as one of the top Halloween foods for the 2024 year.
This was a special release that Burger King did to help promote the new cartoon. From the picture everything looked like it matched the marketing for the most part.
The burger was average for Burger King. I wish that instead of just using dye that they would have been a little more inventive. Like they could have used ube to not only give it color, but also make for a new taste experience. The churros were ok, but the chocolate sauce was weird. It was oily, chunky, and tasted off. I felt like they really dropped the ball with this. They should have used a partnership with Hershey to get a chocolate sauce that wasn't gross.
The 'Things Rings' were just their normal onion rings. Nothing special, but yummy.
The shake was good. It was super chocolatey, but also had a bit of the bitter taste that dark chocolate has. We had to drink this slowly because of how rich it was. Even with two people drinking it, it took us an hour to get through it.
Overall, the Adam's Family meal was average for Burger King food and did not really stand out one way or another in the overall food list for Halloween.
